SOUL-TO-PSYCHE THERAPY INTENSIVE

Conscious divestment for nervous system liberation

what if therapy had more soul?

Black therapists have always innovated. We adapt, translate, and create; staying culturally literate and close to what our communities actually need. This is a kind of sacred practice.

During the pandemic, I began taking clients outside for sessions. They were burned out from Zoom. So was I. By then, I'd spent a decade teaching and healing children and adolescents in nature, so it finally felt right to invite the adults I cared for outside to play.

What started as afternoon sessions expanded into weekend intensives, and eventually whole weeks: private, unhurried, immersive experiences of care.

The outcomes were undeniable.

Clients were reaching insights that would have taken months to arrive indoors. As one person put it, "It was like nature was conspiring to get me free." People reported feeling calmer, less anxious, and closer to a knowing in their bodies, that quiet, cellular certainty that

everything, really is, going to be okay.

That is something we all need right now.

I bring this offering back as a healing balm for my community, and as a way for me to do impactful work: sustainably, and with my whole self.

V Woods, MSW

SELF

For those returning to themselves after self-abandonment, rupture, trauma and during transition. You define the scope, but we might address grief, childhood wounds, caregiving stress, professional boundaries and burnout, or creative blockages using psychodynamic and parts work.

FOUR SOUL CONNECTIONS

COUPLES

For soul-connected partners struggling to live into healthy dynamics after interpersonal, systemic, and ancestral trauma. We might address intimacy blocks, gender and psychological identity transitions, misalignment, or repair work using Gottman methods.

CHOSEN FAMILY

For the families we build because the ones we were born into can’t hold us. We support intentional relational units navigating rupture, transition, or the accumulated weight of shared survival.

FAMILY & ANCESTRAL

For families ready to heal generational wounds on the land of their ancestors. Held at diasporic ancestral sites where the land itself is part of the medicine. Designed with internal family systems, interpersonal psychotherapy, and restorative justice, this is for 2-4 adults navigating repair.

THIS WORK IS ESPECIALLY RESONANT FOR

A WORD ON RELATIONAL SAFETY

The Soul-to-Psyche intensive is not designed for relationships where abuse dynamics are present. Shared travel and immersive co-regulation require a baseline of physical safety between all participants. If you are unsure whether your relationship meets that threshold, please bring that question honestly to your consultation. We will not make that determination for you, but we will be honest with you, and we will not hold space for harm.
